Description
Offered here are 1957 Series $1 Silver Certificate Star Notes in Uncirculated condition. Star Notes were printed as replacement notes for misprinted bills, identified by the star symbol at the end of the serial number, making them more collectible than standard issues.
These notes feature the classic blue Treasury seal and serial numbers along with the familiar portrait of George Washington. As Silver Certificates, they once carried the promise that they were redeemable in silver, a fascinating reminder of an earlier era in U.S. currency.
In Uncirculated condition, these notes display crisp original paper, sharp corners, and bright color with no signs of circulation. A beautiful example of mid-20th century American currency and a great addition to any paper money or star note collection.
