Struck in the final decade before the series transitioned designs, these coins feature Abraham Lincoln on the obverse and the iconic Lincoln Memorial reverse, produced by the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia and Denver.

The Lincoln cent, first introduced in 1909 to honor Lincoln’s 100th birthday, became the longest-running design in U.S. coinage history. By 1993, the composition remained primarily copper-plated zinc, but the classic look and feel of the Memorial reverse still carried strong collector appeal.
