These are modern five dollar golds. Minted by the US mint they have .242 of an ounce of gold in each coin. We have been minting a gold five dollar coin in this weight since 1834. These are near 1/4 the weight of an American 1/4 oz age. But MUCH cheaper. These are the same weight and purity as the old five dollar Indian and five dollar Liberty golds. Selling at only $20 over melt!
